COSPLAYING IS SUCH A HARDCORE HOBBY IT USES UP LOTS OF MONEY AND TIME AND TEARS AND PEOPLE MAKE FUN OF IT SOMETIMES YOU SHOULD ALL BE PROUD OF YOURSELVES FOR DOING SOMETHING SO CREATIVE AND WORK-INTENSIVE WITH A FUN AND SOCIAL COMMUNITY. GOOD JOB

Cosplay can be a fun hobby, but don’t treat it like a job or a contest or a race. If you CAN have it as a job or a contest, GREAT! but most people shouldn’t treat it that way. I cosplay only because I enjoy it. The cosplays I choose to make are mostly for the technical challenge they bring, and if I don’t get it 100% right, I don’t beat myself up over it. I say this is the best I can do with what I had to work with in the time I worked on it.
Cosplay is an Art. Art can’t be forced. You try to force Art, you come up with Design, and Design is all right, but it’s not Art, and doesn’t give the same satisfaction as Art.
Of course, the other thing about Art, the Artist is only very rarely satisfied with their own Art. We all have to accept that as Artists and embrace what we perceive to be imperfections as a contrast and highlight to what we got right.
There have been plenty of cosplays I’ve wanted to do over the years that have only recently become possible to do, (and some, not yet) so now, I can revisit them without dwelling on the failed attempts I’ve made on them in the past. If something is frustrating you, put it aside for now, and come back to it later with a fresh enthusiasm
Beautiful 1972 #Honda CL350 seen on High Street in #Bristol #RhodeIsland. This bike was designed for on-road/off-road, thus the high pipes #motorcycle #classic
